I have just returned from a prolonged absence for no good reason. Which is to say, there was no good reason for the absence, not for my return. My return has a very good reason, which is...ummm...well, I'm not sure, but it's a good one!
Ummm, yeah. So, I'm back.

So, we've made it. It's been quite a year, all things considered. Or just a few things considered. Looking back, I had nearly forgotten the earthquake that happened much, much earlier. I think that for a lot of people, Sept. 11 started a new almost-year of its own. That's obviously the biggest single event in 2001. But other stuff happened, too. Remember the incident with the US spy plane and the Chinese fighter? And no one in this state is about to forget the Mariners' terrific season. Mariner Magic in its fullest glory!!*sigh*...Next year, we'll make it. This year. Whatever.
I have just a few wishes for this year. May the Mariners FINALLY make it all the way to the top in baseball...go, Ichiro! May Osama bin Laden and all the terrorists get exactly what they deserve(grrr...). May I get good grades on my finals(please, please, please). May Nintendo bring out a Pokemon version in America which has not had any goodies subtracted since the Japanese version was made. And one more...may the h2g2 and all its researchers have a splendid year which is relatively free from M*d*r*t**n(
).

I can't wait till the H2G2 is all the way edited and back up. The Pokemon League site is still being edited, much to my annoyance. But at least it's back again. I remember the day I discovered it was gone; I had clicked on my favorite link in my Favorites folder; the one to the Pokemon League. I came up with that site that told me that the H2G2 was temporarily down, and please Don't Panic. I didn't panic, but let's just say my pillow was much worse for the wear. I was just coming back from one of my longer absences-for-homework-reasons, and I was, needless to say, extremely surprised, and, immediately afterwards, quite frustrated. You see, I attempted to join the Yahoo! chat group, and trying to sign up was driving me INSANE! I recovered, eventually, and started voting in the polls, trying to keep some semblance of my online life alive. But my enthusiasm died down, and I started checking the H2G2 site only every two days, then every three days, until one day, very recently, I was over at a friend's house, and we went online. She wanted to check her email, so I told her there was something I wanted to check too, just real quick. I hadn't checked it in a while, you see. So I logged on to the H2G2 site, and, much to my surprise, it was back!!! My mood greatly improved for the next three days, which is quite impressive. But I discovered that all my favorite sites were being edited, so I ignored it for a week or two. I came back today to write this entry, because no one seems to be interested in hearing me talk, but I just had to say this. So now I've said it. I'll shut up now.
