Hi Jamie.

You were down to pick three Scouts' picks on June 18, and Mark dropped you an email checking that you were going to be able to keep picking as a Scout. Unfortunately he didn't receive a reply.

I'm now looking after the Scouts' scheme, so I wondered if you could let me know if you're still able to manage your three picks every four weeks. If so, great - could you do your picks for June 18 now, so we don't fall behind? If not, then there are lots of other Researchers waiting to be Scouts...

Chris, I am really, really sorry that I just abandoned my Scout responsibilities like that. I hope it didn't cause too many problems.

I feel really bad about just disappearing from H2G2 back in June but I was going through a bad time and had some personal problems and just didn't feel like I could get involved in the community.

I'm OK now, and I hope I can sidle back into the community without attracting frowns from too many people but I just like H2G2 too much not to come back to it.

Again, I'm really sorry, and I thought it would be right to drop you a line first.

Don't worry about the Scouting - we managed without any problems. Thanks for coming back though, and dropping me a note - always good to see people reappearing around the site.
