Lemmyhead

Hello and welcome to my little bit.

What to say that might be interesting?... hmmm.. well, I am a recovering alcie, that might be, I dont use any of the traditional recovery wossits (yer AA's etc. but respect to what they do), just me & we are at 4 Months & counting. Although its better for me to deal with this myself, if YOU are going through troubles just now & need some help in this area, you might want to check http://www.aamollys.com" >http://www.aamollys.com There are good people there who could help you out.

I love travelling. I have lived in a few countries thanks to my father being in the services. I will (I hope) post thoughts & stuff to the forums here as I get about this little planet & I hope you enjoy them if you read them.

Since I began back on the road to normality (if thats the right way of putting it) I have been getting into poetry quite a bit, if you like poetry you might want to check out this link... http://www.enterthemuse.com" >http://www.enterthemuse.com I moderate a discussion forum on that site (cos I am to poetry what gerbils are to nuclear physics) & the site is quite new. We have outlandish aims & are going through a few growing / teething pains just now but we are getting there slowly. Have a look & see what you think.

Other stuff I enjoy, reading, music, films, computer stuff, people (well, for the most part), keeping fit, all that kind of thing.

Another great site to try out for computer stuff is http://arstechnica.com" >http://arstechnica.com />
I'll add some more a bit later. See you around.

Hello again,
Well, here we are on a drizzly Tuesday, ain't life grand:). What else can there be to do but put a bit of me poetry up fer perusal. It does not compare (Ihope!) to Vogon poetry but please be sure to tell me if you disagree... just do it gently.

The Cup (1st full draft)

I've had this cup since I was
about 5 years old
I was in Kindergarten &
we were just throwing this clay together
getting more on our faces & clothes
than the label recommends

I painted my cup Blue & Orange
I somehow painted my friend
and she painted me
the same colours
well, it was during
the swinging sixties

I have my cup even now
It's cracked & a little broken
in places
the handle is not safe for holding
& white chalky scars staring from the faded hue
are a testimony
to its bedraggled journey.

Monday 2 April 2001
Hello again!

Gosh, seems like a lot of changes here since I last visited. Thats cool. Good old BBC. I was amazed I managed to remember my passwords and stuff.

Anyway. Whats new? I passed my 1 year anniversary sober. Quite an odd achievement because as I said before I am doing this on my own. But I do feel its an achievement none the less. So yay me. I am taking things slowly and discovering stuff about me that had been drowned out before. Still trying this skin on for size.

I am also going to take up a degree. I have agreed with my work about them funding me through a three year degree and hopefully that will give things more shape for me? I always felt like I got where I am by default almost without really understanding why so now I am taking a little more control for myself. Better late than never.

A moment here to think that my work is actually pretty cool to support me on this. Its their way of saying "you made the commitment to yourself, we will commit to you". Thats got to be good, right?

Well I'll keep you posted on progress.

Peace.
