A New Form of Joy
I'm a final year philosophy student at York Uni; an interesting occupation, yet one which i am looking forward to ending. After i graduate (let me rephrase... if i graduate), i hope (oh god how i hope) to study theatre lighting design. I had my interview yesterday, and should find out in a month. I'm petrified....!
Anyway, that's a little about me - philosophy and theatre are two of my loves. I also love films, music, books and art, but i think i only have significant amounts of knowledge in music.
Fav Stuff:
Theatre: Complicite, Shared Experience, Chekhov, Ibsen, some Brecht, sometimes i like Beckett, sometimes i don't...
Music: JS Bach, Arvo Part, Gyorgy Ligeti, Joanna Newsom, Nellie McKay, Squarepusher, Animal Collective, Autechre... could go on for a while!
Films: Three Colours Red and White (just saw them the other day, brilliant, can't wait to see Blue), 8 1/2, Mullholland Drive, Breathless, Bellevoir Rendezvous
Books: Most Ian McEwan, Terry Pratchett (yeah i know, we all have out weaknesses, at least it isn't Tom Clancy!), Anthony Trollope, Dostoevsky, Antoine Saint-Expury
Art: my knowledge is poor, but i'm a fan of Rothko, Picasso and Nauman. I'm terrible with names of art, so don't ask me too much. Looking forward to seeing the Caravaggio exhibition in London soon.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
