FINALLY..so what did I miss..
Posted Jun 27, 2010
Got a new hard drive for the laptop since mine decided to die a horrible death and take most of my life with it. *sigh*
I've also managed to get back most of the sites that I was active on and get some of the writing back that I lost.
However I have to admit I feel rather foolish that I hadn't done a back up in a LOT longer then I thought.
Sadly right after the laptop went Ubuntu decided to eat through the partition to the windows -- can you guess who now has to go about doing a reinstall on the desktop?
Ugh
Tell me again how technology is a good thing?
So the next job when I could look at it with out wanting to sob lol is to put Ubuntu and only U on that.
Lesson learned - that was twice I have had that happen and the forums echo my frustration, so I figure one windows and one Ubuntu.
Eventually, but right now I am just fine with only using the laptop, since sadly I am as addicted to technology as the rest of the world.
The entire time they were both down and i was fixing then my thought was Thank god I have a blackberry.
...I never thought i would be one of those people.

Kitties, vacations and should be would be assistants.
Posted Mar 6, 2010
Gosh, I need a vacation, and since I can not have one, I am going to take a mini one this weekend.
Lets just say it was a bad day today and leave it at that.
Added to being gripped into a bad fit of PMS today that I did not even realize was happening until bad things almost came of it.
Very bad things, that thankfully I snapped out of and realized I was out of my freaking mind.
I've been reading and I am pages from finishing - The way of the Sufi.
Beautiful. Amazing, Inspiring, and on the to buy list.
It's a very old book but well worth the read, I love finding things by accident.
i found a few books in the second hand store I was in this week. I swear, an angel is following me around and dropping the things I have wanted for awhile in my path..
I started watching Legend of the Seeker (WOW!!) and decided I wanted to read the series its based on - however, its sold out everywhere.. Book one and six were in the second hand shop.. as was another in hardcover, since it was HC i passed it up for now.
I also found another one.. "Alive in the bitter sea. China"
Written by the first journalist allowed to live in China since the 1949 revolution.
I had to get that, I am sure its going to be fascinating.
Which going by my latest writing project made me realize just how hard its going to be to find the info that I need.
The number of non Asian decent individuals that are non military based in China since 1950. Not sure where to begin looking for that.
Just one reason I need an assistant!
On a side note.. if you are going to teach your cat to play fetch/catch. be prepared for them to want to play when your sitting in bed curled up with your laptop typing away at 1230am.
I didn't think of that LOL.

Where did Feb go?
Posted Feb 27, 2010
Wow. Crazy busy fast gone month.
But I'm currently snowed in so today is the day where I get to get caught up with everything I have wanted to do but just haven't had the time.
Writing, reading three library books before they are due, and tea most likely being all I will get to lol.
I did however get to see Avatar in IMAX 3D when I was out of town..
Wow. I loved it. Srsly.
Sadly tho its never going to be as good outside of the 3D IMAX experience. Which makes me kind of sad.
When Alice comes out its going to be very much the same thing.
Off to do the reading and writing thing for awhile.

Heart day is now over (yay)
Posted Feb 15, 2010
So that was an interesting sign in.. "click here to agree" and the whole thing goes KABOOOOY!
I'm still not even sure what the whole new BBC ID thing is for. If I am reading it right....
It works for the whole BBC and not just H2G2?
I took an internet time out.. I had a family member pass and it came time to do some spring cleaning of my life.
I am starting to feel better as a whole.
Thankfully.
I met someone, who is pretty sweet we spent all of yesterday talking.
Local ish.. he's really nice.
Easy to talk to, almost too easy and we have a TON in common.
But I am just not sure how i feel about things just yet..
Finished the most boring history book ever.
Honestly I thought I would never hit the end.
Informative and well planned out as well as unbiased but oh my gosh SLOW going.
Tea time.. and writing..
TBBT is on tonight!
So excited

Still here..
Posted Feb 3, 2010
Gosh I need more sleep and more hours in my days lately.
I had family here for awhile so I went crazy getting my place tidy and stuff - a complete waste of time but I won't get into that.
My kitten is going to be the death of me.... she decided to stand behind me with out a sound so when I took a step backwards I went flying and could not catch myself in time.
Landing badly on a weird angle.. in a shelf in the kitchen.. thankfully all my glass canisters stayed put.. But ouch.. from my ribs down to the back of my knee. My entire left side is not happy.
My arm is also not thrilled.. especially when I have to rest it on something.
The poor kitten was so freaked it took bribery for her to come to me after that.
Shes fine.. and woken me up the last two nights cuz she wanted cuddles.
I love that.. I'm such a softy what can I say.
My best friend scared the crap out of me the other day standing over me as I'm sleeping with coffee.. at 830 in the AM.
She had breakfast too, so shes alive and well. I got a free USB key out of it and a new coffee mug - All because she wanted to watch TBBT she missed the night before.
OH how I laughed.
120 pages to go of my Buddhism book.
I've put the fiction aside lately I can't get into it.
So now its the above mentioned book, Industrial Revolution, and Carl Sagan getting my attention.
Bazinga!
(..Ya.. I just couldn't resist.)
