Oh, so we're a Third World nation because you can't travel well...

You had a bad travel experience. Awwwwwwwwww. Too bad. I feel for you. Really, I do. In fact, I'm sure I must have felt the same way when I had an eleven hour layover at Heathrow, while going from Germany to Montreal. Eleven hours. All the while, people telling me what a wonderful place Heathrow was to be stuck in. You know what? No place is a good place to be stuck in. Ever. Just because you got jammed up on flight schedules, don't take it out on a whole country. Did I blame all of England for a nine hour layover? Did I equate it to a Third World nation simply because everything was not perfect? No, I know, as anyone who has travelled knows, that there are always delays and snags. Account for them. Anyone who tries to transfer flights with under two hours is next to insane anyways. You always allow for delays and confusion. Wherever borders are, confusion reigns.
I would suggest that you either retitle the article in question, or at least have the courtesy to visit a country and actually experience what you so snidely cast off.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. I'm sorry you don't like the title, but I don't really care enough to change it.

The title is derived from the war zone that is currently the Toronto airport and the amazingly mind-numbing idiocy of "civil" engineering that resulted in the present layout. In case you are confused, Toronto is in Canada and, coincidentally, so is its airport.

As for your assumptions regarding my experience with Canada and traveling in general, I must happily inform you that you are both ignorant and wrong. I have visited Canada extensively and am pleased to remain a resident of the USA. I have also traveled quite a bit and I know that the only place I have EVER had air travel trouble was in thinking that two hours was enough time to get through the Toronto airport (and I did leave two hours initially, but thanks to delays and the airport, that wasn't really enough).

I would like to say that I hope this explanation sheds some light on the dark cavern of your knowledge and opinion, but I frankly couldn't care less.

On second thought... maybe you're right. I should have left myself 11 hours to change planes. Apparently, that's what all the EXPERIENCED travelers do.

Thanks for your help.

See, it's that kind of attitude that breeds bad feelings. I think you don't understand how bureaucracy works. Or maybe you do, and just enjoy whining about it. I've been to airports on three continents, and guess what, delays in travel are inevitable. Which is why travel agents, airlines, etc, all advise you to make sure you provide for delays and such.

And I happen to know where Pearson is. I'm Canadian. I used to live in Toronto. If an hour or two of a delay causes you to place a country in Third World status, maybe you should just stay home, and hope you never get caught in traffic.

Maybe I haven't been clear... It wasn't the delay that caused me to title this thread as I did, it was the organization -- or rather the lack thereof. I appreciate your nationalism, but that doesn't change anything.
