Who am I?
I am a Dutchman who was looking for what "the pointing of psalms"
means. That is how I found BBC h2g2.
I am interested in music(as you may have guessed) but also in litterature, history, arts and philosophy.
I like languages. At school I learnt English, German and French.
In later life I added Italian. Right now I am trying to find out more about music. There is a musical tradition in my family and I have quite a lot of classical cd's.
In order to explore these in a more profound way I discovered that there were a lot of things I still had to learn.
That is why I have begun to take singing lessons and I have to say that my musical knowledge is growing.
As to litterature, I like both classics(e.g. Shakespeare or Walter Scott) and contemporary authors(like Ian McEwan or Kazuo Ishiguro)and do not limit myself to English writers.
I am interested in conversations about(or is it on?) all the subjects mentioned above.
I was born in the early fifties.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
