Does this mean that all the thousands of people who look at the front page today are going to end up with Agadoo stuck in their heads?

Agadoo-doo-doo, push pineapple, shake the tree....

A shiver just went down my spine. I suddenly had a horrifying vision of people all over the congregating in parks and town squares and shopping centres, all with one voice singing, and performing the actions to, that song. That's a truly disturbing distopian vision.

Right. I'm off to take a wire brush to my brain.

I had never seen the quote of the day on the front page only the quote from Douglas Adams. However, I know realise you only see the quote of the day when you are actually logged in. So all those looking in from the outside won't see it.

Well, nice as it is to appear on the front page, I'm not entirely sure that that quote is ideal. What was a bit of a gentle leg-pull within the thread looks a bit more pointed when it's up in lights. If I was Hoo I wouldn't be totally thrilled. But the main thing is that it's pointing everyone at a thread that turned into a total train wreck, and is not a good advert for the site. Still, it'll be gone by tomorrow.
