I have heard very good things about the HTC Hero, though that is touch screen based so might not be what you're after, tha same with the Samsung Omnia.

No not yet. I was waiting for the HTC HD 2 to be released and the review to come in.

Also the iPhone is being released on a couple of other networks, so the price has come down slightly.
