Parenthood
I am delighting in the joys of parenthood at the ripe old age of 37. My son is 17 months old and is absolutely the most important thing in my life. Life was never so important. Kosovo and the nail bombings in Brixton, Brick Lane and Old Compton Street have to be taken seriously now. I don't really know where to start. The antenatel classes run by the NCT were an education. Neither me nor the father were keen to attend - especially as they were in Stoke Newington, the hippy homeland of London - but we discovered 9 other sets of parents as cynical as us and the classes were very funny, if alarming. Learning to breath properly, making very strange noises and using some very peculiar equipment all designed to make the experience more bearable.Conversations
