About me
I am a software engineer living in Canada. I grew up in Britain, and heard the original h2g2 radio series live when I was a student. I've re-listened to it many times, and also enjoyed other Douglas Adams works such as Dirk Gently (read by the author), The Salmon of Doubt, and the h2g2 game. I'm also a big fan of the Macintosh :-)
In addition, I'm fascinated by all kinds of information, especially about science and technology. I particularly enjoy the weekly Canadian radio program on science, Quirks and Quarks. All their episodes from now back to 2001 are freely downloadable as MP3s at the web site. I also enjoy Wikipedia, and I'm looking forward to particpating in h2g2.
I like interactive fiction, beyond h2g2, and even co-wrote a short game with my son for a school project when he was at primary school. I fondly remember playing the original Adventure game on a mainframe back in the 80s. I've also enjoyed graphical adventure games such as the Myst series, and the Myst novels too.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
