I replied elsewhere to your question about /unsub
but will paste it here again in case you miss my
response in that thread. I also wanted to ask you
again about Moronis - from a post of yours which
left me scratching my head in ignorance because
google had not satisfactory solution to the reference.

Just as there is a Subscribe button, there is an Unsubscribe
button on every convo thread.

If you click it, that conversation will no longer appear in
your list of recent conversations. You can still search for
and read that conversation and perhaps even resubscribe by
posting to the thread or clicking the subscribe button again.

Posting the word Unsub is a way of informing the thread
that you no longer wish to participate in the discussion.
It is similar to walking out in a huff and slamming the door.
It's a bit melodramatic.
Sometimes used ironically.
smiley - grr unsub smiley - elvis
It's just a word.
It has no real hurtful stick or stone properties.

Thanks - I have much to learn smiley - ok

My Moroni comment was an attempt at a poetic double reference. It
was following on discussion as to what was the cause of the 21st May
end of world prediction and its promotion/publicity.

(1) I suspect Moronis. Moroni in plural - i.e. american
angels/revelations (referencing the religious and american source of
the prediction - a specific or class of american religiosity).

(2) I suspect morons. With typos (Capital M and extra i) - Gullible
people that believed in the prediction and helped promote it.

I wasn't sure what the plural was for "Moroni" - I was at least
certain it couldn't have been Moronic smiley - ok

Don't tell me you missed the end of the world ?

Did you not know that on the 21st May, every single Mormon exploded in a sustained frenzy of gullibility and their collective recollection of anything prior to that date have been erased.

To them, this is a new world, full of promise and optimism, except when their Pastor asks them for a few hundred dollars to sit in their church during collection time. Then they might remember that they had accidentally on purpose, left their wallet at home.

Oh, the flood gates, how they will open.

Hi Stoney - good to see that you're well and that 606v2 is
progressing nicely.

Well transparency in religion is one thing - but transparency in
politics and in international trade in a "post-colonial" world are
completely different matters ...

It has been said that George Orwells 1984 predictions did not come to
pass but I'm not so sure. 1984 and Animal Farm seem to be pretty
astute perceptions of the modern world.
