Guess I'm a little slow to learn the ropes here... Are you an editor?

I posted a bit of a tome to the Miami, Florida forum some time ago - and upon reflection, it would probably better serve the world as a "South Beach" guide entry, if it is deemed worthy by the editors.

I noticed in the Miami entry that a good bit of the material was "lifted" from the forums....

Anyway, thanks for the note (4 weeks ago).

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I have so many postings that sometimes some of them get buried and I don't see them for a while.

To answer some of your questions from your response ...

At the time I first greeted you I wasn't and Editor or anything like that. I'm a friendly guy and took it upon myself to greet people and make new friends. Recently I've been recuited as one of the ACEs (Assistant Community Editor) here at H2G2, which makes me very happy.

Even if you've already posted information in one of the discussion forums, you can always cut and paste it to an Entry of your making. Doing so would not only let you make an contribution to H2G2 in Entry form, but it would also let you edit what your putting up and make any needed changes.

And as you mentioned, sometimes information is found in forums that would make a good Guide Entry, and sometimes it gets collected, edited, and submitted.
