Hullo, hullo I doubt that you want even more people coming and trying to talk to you but I'm going to attempt it anyway.
I'm Kat (see U234368) and I may share some interests with you. I don't know yet but I'm happy to find out.
I like a variety of music ranging from some pretty old stuff to odd new things here and there. I have a weak spot for ska music and rock.
I like reading and writing, and especially enjoy writing argumentative speeches, although I leave the actual talking to my friend because I think I would die if I had to stand up infront of loads of people. I like terry pratchett books (how I found you), and assorted others.
That should do for the moment. If you notice me then whoopee and I'll get excited!
Kat

Hi Kat, how could I fail to notice you wif a great big hole in the wall??????
I never got into ska or blue beat, but rock music is really my thing, especially live rock music. There's several people knocking about the site who make sound cool sounds!!
I see you like Terry Pratchett Have you ever read anything by Piers Anthony? Don't try it on a train, you'll get really funny looks when you start laughing out loud
catch you soon

Never read Piers anthony. Got any special recomendations you particularly liked? Or does it work as a series or what?
I like music from Alice Cooper, Meatloaf (don't judge me on that!), The Mighty Bosstones, oh and 80s silly stuff! And new things I like Weezer. Have you tried them? You might like them...or...Guano Apes? (they're German and you might not like them).
*patches up wall a bit* I'm sure nobody will notice the wall if you tell them they don't notice it!
Oh do you know why, if "philia" means love of, then we have the word "haemophilia"?

Oooooooooh, that's a hard question, it should be just the opposite shouldn't it? I know it's quite a modern word, coined in the late 1800's but before doctors etc knew anything about platelets and their functions.
On another matter, I went to see Alice Cooper earlier this year, he was great. Meatloaf I saw back in 1987, and wasn't too impresses, quite a spectacle tho'. I've a friend who works as a Meatloaf tribute. I like what I've heard of Weezer, but not heard anything by the other band. I'm into old and new rock, from Zeppelin to the Foo Fighters, SOAD, and Manson.

Wow you're definitely rising in my cool adult stakes! You're liking all the things I like! What a wonder!
Maybe if it's love of blood then it's like need? so then that would be need for blood, which works seeing as if a haemophiliac cuts themselves then they are in need of blood as they have a lack of it very soon.
What other exciting things are you passionate about? I'm going to say I have an anti-passion for computers. This one I'm on is always being strange and I only recently got an email account because a friend forced me into it. I wa also forced onto here but I'm glad I was.
I do however like watching people, which I suppose being on here gives me the perfect opportunity for. I like to see how people's minds work and how opinions differentiate and other wonderfully inexciting thigns like that.
I also like to worry, if that can count, and also to be grammatically correct and to have immaculate spelling.
You?

Oh I can spell OK, it's just that occasionally something goes wring with my fingers I should really call myself the Typo Queen
I'm like you in that one of my favourite hobbies is people watching, and I also like hearing about the minutiae of life in other parts of the world - the silly little things that never get into demographic studies.
One thing that does fascinate me is watching babies grow and develop minds of their own. For istance, does a baby who rarely cries & plays contentedly grow up into a laid back adult?
What about you, where in the world are you, and are you still a student?

I just noticed that my father managed to delete my post when he slammed the laptop lid down on my fingers.
I'm still a student, yes. Doing ASlevels. I go to boarding school. I'm studying German, Geography, English Lit, and Physics.
I live in Coventry, sort of, but go to school in Bedford.
I don't think a baby who is chilled will necesssarily make a laid back adult. For example, my little brother was a really sweet, cool baby, but now he's a nasty little
I'm getting quite good at the old keyboard thing. However I type very very very slowly because before about a month ago I avoided computers like the plague.
Today I went to buy new school uniform. I feel so lucky to be the proud owner of some new black trousers and some shirts
What exciting things can I ask you? Anything you feel like sharing?

I was brought up in the Midlands, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Leamington Spa, Warwick (in that order ) and my parents live in Bromsgrove now.
Hmmmmmmm exciting things well I'm married to a very good lead guitarist, he used to be professional, in a band called Felony, he bought my favourite guitar, a Gordon Smith Gypsy II, from a guy called Nicky Bold who was in a band called Virginia Woolf with Jason Bonham on drums.
I love the Simpsons and Futurama, think Eddie Izzard is and have a nasty allergy to Boy-Bands they make me sick
Oh and by the way, little brothers are always creeps till they get older, it's in the job description

Ahhh! I went to Solihull today!
I think that's exciting. I went out with a guitarist once (makes me sound popular and as if I've been out with lots of guys). Current boy is non-musically minded though which suits me.
Eddie Izzard!!!! Are you going to see him this tour? My parents are going with my friend's parents but we weren't allowed to go because we are at school and they won't take us out for the night!
Matt (brother) threw a tantrum about his dinner which was interesting. It ended up a bit explosive when my parents got very annoyed and it ended in Matt crying. Later on I got him some bread and cheese for dinner instead, because he had been sent to his room with strict instructions to stay there. I felt a tad sorry though.
Anything wonderful you would like to know about the wonderful blossoming Kat?

Oh no! That's awful!
Are you feeling better now? I hope so.
I've been reading your spider adventures with great amusement. Is she still hanging in your house?
I've written a new article! I'm quite chuffed with it so I have to keep pointing everyone there.

Hey great article and what a good idea, 's a pity my Welsh isn't up to it .
Doris is sleeping in a corner of the stufy as I type, worn out by a night chasing the cats I think

You're going to become like my dad! He found this spider once and kept it in a big tuberware box with a load of sticks etc and fed it flies and other things. It got really fat though so he let it go because he felt it was getting too complacent
Fancy learning any other languages then? I'm looking for people to join me in learning Spanish. This term I'm starting evening classes so I'd be glad to pass on what I learn if you like.
