I just stumbled upon h2g2 while looking for something else. That's the beauty of it, right?
I'm a confirmed Californian. Came here 40-plus years ago, chasing a blond, she was already married, I stayed anyway. Found an even more beautiful blond, married now 30+ years.
My "day job" is advising owners of small businesses how to grow, make more money, and not have to work so dang hard. So I get paid to tell other people what to do, and I often do this by phone or email while reclining on our deck under the oak tree.
My "night un-job" is blogging and conversing on forums. H2g2 looks like a good one. I love to answer questions -- on most anything. Just answered one on medieval English pronunciation, which I know nothing about. I'm full of questions to ask, also. I've got several lifetimes of interesting things I want to learn.
If we could upload photos, I'd show you my big red motorcycle, "The Beast." I bought it for myself last year when gas prices hit $4/gal. Mileage as good as a Prius and a hell of a lot more fun! Wife BJ and I tool around the back roads of Northern California on it.
We love hiking and sailing, and gardening. And lounging on our back deck with a glass of chardonnay watching the trees and flowers, the sky, the birds, the clouds.
Life is good!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
