S.E.A.: I was idly reading your page when I saw your self description as a semi-closet-geek. Me too, and I made up a word the other day just for such people. Here's the situation: you're having a conversation about normal non-geeky things and one of your pet geek topics comes up. Suddenly you start talking at length and in great detail, and the other person realizes she is talking to a geek. This process of self revelation I called "geekage" (as in "leakage of the geek truth thru the non-geek appearance").

i think the funniest thing about being a closet geek is the look on people's faces when they realize i'm a geek. apparently i don't appear the least bit geeky (i'll admit i'm blonde, and am probably often written off as quite dim, especially when i'm hyper and insane) and people who witness my 'geekage' are usually quite shocked. it's fun.
