Hi sea, just checking in to let you know my feelings haven`t changed that I still care and it wasn`t a 5 minute thing because of the events of Sept 11th . It struck me that we always seem to be on opposing sides and I just wanted you to know that that is just coincidence and nothing could be further from how I really feel ... you`re kind, generous and great to play with - I appreciate that a lot.
All the S*T*A*T*S rumours and other stuff is just for fun in case you ever wonder or have a slight doubt. Truely hope you`re OK.

soooo glad to hear it.
don't worry about me taking things personally. i'm usually quite good about not assuming that you superzeroes hate me.
and, incidentally, some of those S*T*A*T*S rumors are HILARIOUS!!!!! me and GL....
thank you.

Hi sea , I was wondering whether you`d have time to do a reading for me if you can spare the time.
I never told anyone on h2g2 how much trouble I was having at work in the last year. I have a really abusive Boss who has made my life sheer unadulterated hell. I have been driven to near madness by this man and in desperation and abject misery actually quit my job in september. A few fine folks in our head office persuaded me to stay with the company and are in the process of x-fering me to the US. Relief is hopefully a few weeks away.
Life has been very very hard and all sorts of awful stuff has happened [and continues to happen] at work in the meantime.
I got really spooked by Ramblings reading as it was so close to the one I had in Auckland in early December and betrayal was a strong theme there. I have great protection from my mentor in the US and from the head of legal here in Aus but my Boss is very much out to do something to me before I leave. I have survived so far but am seriously worried most of the time. It`s doing my head in slowly but surely
I am so scarily Knight of Swords by btw - crusader of lost causes and justice, pursuit to ruination, change agent, active, clever, courage, etc, etc, etc. Mostly the good stuff but a taint of the negative side as well. I am naturally playful and mischevious which always nags away at me and tempts me a lot .... I guess that adds up to the can`t be trusted all the time. Certainly dark haired and maybe a little charming as well

allright, here goes:
i see fear and disloyalty in the immediate future. but, i see changes, fairly drastic ones. conflicts of interests, stubbornness, bull-headedness in the past... is this what happened with the boss? well, fortunately for you i also see the conclusion of an unsatisfactory business experience! i see you being influenced by wasted money in the future, you might want to watch out for that...
in you, i see ingenuity, hard work, and progress. however, around you i see trouble, surprise, and - uh oh - restraint caused by others. you're in a sad state right now, mentally anguished, disappointed. (i SWEAR the cards say this!) but, once again, there are opportunties in the future!!!
and please keep an eye on your health, red. i see an illness in your future - i hope that's not what the card is saying, but...
once again, i don't do this very often, so i'm not too good at it. and don't forget that the future is not set in stone. it can be changed.
does that answer your question? i hope this doesn't put you in a bad state of mind.

Don`t worry my friend - it doesn`t, just confirms what I think has happened, is happening and will happen. I hope that things don`t get rougher than they have been although I am extremely anxious about that. Being KoS I am prone to action but am being counseled by my friends to stay low and fly under the radar - so I`m heavily influenced by restraining forces right now.
I live to get out of here as quickly as I can - if the promises made to me are fulfilled then I will be in Oklahoma in March and probably Houston by the end of the year [I work for an Oil Co]. I am sure in my own mind that happiness lies there for me .... I just hope that it isnt disappointment lying in wait - not sure what I will do if the hope goes . On the other hand I am very resilient and there are lots of positive indicators about the future in all the readings I`ve had so I can still feel good
Thank you so much for the kind thoughts - you dont know how much I appreciate it

OKLAHOMA IN MARCH?!?!?!?!?!
*crosses fingers, crosses legs, braids hair so it's crossed, crosses toes*
you DO know we're having a meet-up in march, right?
on the serious side, though, i really hope things work out for you. it sounds like you're stuck in an uncomfortable situation, and i'm keeping you in my thoughts.

Yup - Denver right ? Thought about it lots and lots but the timing is real bad from a move point of view and Mrs Red Dog would lock me in my kennel for a very long time if I attempted it . Sad thing is that I have family in Aurora [nr Denver] so I could have killed two birds with one stone.
I promise that I will get to a meet as soon as I can - I travel a lot so it shouldnt be too hard. Don`t be too shocked when you finally see me - me and BBW are a little older than most of you you know
I`m sure my personal situation will work itself out and it really helps when you know you`ve got friends worrying about you.

oklahoma, eh? sheesh. i wouldn't blame you if you constantly travelled. there's NOTHING in oklahoma. well, maybe some dirt.
i KNOW you guys are ancient. just kidding!!!!! actually, you're both right around my parents' age. but don't worry, you're young at heart, and that's all that matters here.
glad to hear you're in good spirits.
well, i've got to be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow (today), so i'd best be off to bed. paintballing tomorrow!!! yay!!! i'll give you a bruise count when i get back.

hi red dog!
haven't spoken to ya in a while, so i thought i'd touch base and see how everything is... how is oklahoma, other than being flat? how is mrs. red?
and will you be terribly mad if you get shot in next week's Quest?

Hi cutie pie. The Reds are good and settled and getting used to OK. Although I had visited here many times I honestly didn't realise what a rich native american heritage they have in this part of OK. We went to a Delaware Nation Tribal pow wow last weekend and that was awesome. We're off to the Cherokee Nation museum tomorrow
Also having to do lots of hard graft getting house set up, cars bought, driving tests taken, getting into a new job and all that but I've done it so many times that its mostly routine now. My Co (Phillips) is merging with Conoco which means more than a little uncertainty about jobs for a few months. I know I'm up for several of the top jobs in the new organisation for my profession so I should survive OK - some of my friends ar eunder threat though
I'm cool with what ever you want to do with the Quest - I'm know as we're good friends you will respect my character and wouldn't do anything to hurt me. So feel free to go to the edge with it.
Just don't make me beg for mercy though as I will have to hunt you down and kill you if you do that
Just joking .... make me go with a snarl on my lips shaking my fist at fate (I like defiance )

soeasilyamused, or sea Posted Jun 1, 2002
!!!!!! that can be arranged. i've painted him as a very prideful character, i think defiance fits well.
wow, lots of native american heritage, eh? sounds fabulous! if you wouldn't mind, could you keep an eye out for any mention of a tribe called the Bowies? supposedly my mom's dad was a bowie. she refuses to talk about it, and i'm terribly curious.
glad to hear you're getting settled okay, and sorry to hear about the job nervousness. seems like lots of companies are having layoffs right about now... mom's company, boeing, has been doing a lot of that. she's been allright thus far, though.
