Sadly, no.

Due to an extraordinarily complex work-situation that, with a little luck, will resolve itself within this week, yesterdays Great Event was cancelled with two hours to go.

But now The Event is scheduled for Friday.

YESSS!!!!

I... I... I usually consider my humble self a pretty apt user of the British language, but I find myself short of words!

The casting was magnificent, the acting even better. Special effects were... breathtaking, as were in deed the racial-portraits. All those little details that made us believe, that Hobbits, Elves and Dwarves do exist! (Well, they obviously do!) The mood, the empathy, the greatness... I... I... ~Gasps for breath once again, palms sweat from memory... awestricken...~

Tolkiens books were a true milestone in litterature and genres.
Now there has been produces another milestone in movies!

I... Well, I guess I liked it. My boyfriend and I have, by now, spent some 4-5 hours discussing various details of it, and I am sure that we are far from finished. I was scarcely out of the cinema before I declared to WANT the DVD as soos as possible.

Wow...

Your opinion?

-KC still in awe

erm...pretty much the same!! i definitely want the DVD. i think it's more of a film to watch at home either with friends or cuddled up with someone you love, cos it's pretty long. but definitely worth it. i'd complain if it was any shorter smiley - smiley

My boyfriend and I are not very much into cinema-going, but after a long debate finally decided that we had to go see this one.

Today, I've almost convinced him to go again! Something we've never done before over 'just' a movie.

And he agrees we should have the DVD all though he suggests that we attempt to wait and buy the Lord of the Rings Collectors Full Edition with all three movies when it comes, as he is certain that it shall contain even more yummy stuff!

As is, I am currently downloading all things hobbit from the net...

How can they ask us to wait for a year? And then another year? The Comittee on Human Rights must have a say on this...

-KC still in Rivendell, or was it Moria? ~Shudders~

i think i may in fact be obsessed with lord of the rings...although i haven't read the books yet smiley - yikes!!
but in maths today, (double stats, very boring) i did literally no work, and instead drew in my little book of randomness. the first thing i drew was in fact writing, LOTR to be precise, but looking nice. then i drew a weird picture of some insects or something, i have no idea which bit of my brain that came from...then something random and pointless, then i wrote "where is all the art coming from?"
maths lessons make me very artistic somehow...

~Ponders~

I guess it COULD be the influence of The Ring... Or perhaps Mithrandir is closer than you think...

Highly nasty business, that ring-thing!

Go see the movie. And if you've already done so, do it again! Can't do a good thing too much, ya know.

I saw it again this Saturday! Weeee smiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - smileysmiley - smiley

I'm nuts about Legolas! And not just as a Dane...

(LEGO-las, get it? Naw, not THAT funny...)

But I think nobody could've casted Gandalf any better. Or Frodo! Geez... I think Galadriel is the poorest choice, and even she does rather excellent, so eh...

Whaddayou think?

Samwise Gamgee can just make my heart melt!

But then the ringwraiths make it freeze solid again... *shudder*

Saw it again yesterday - just can't get enough. Listen to the soundtrack regularly and try to download more from the Net; desktop themes, pictures, graphics and even - I'm that desperate - fanfics. Though nonoe of that reaches the Master (JRRT) himself.

How are we going to make it from now to December 18th? SIIIIIGH!
