A note about Bond

Hi Kes, nice to meet you. I saw your posts to the Bond movie and liked them - you sounded very Bond-ish smiley - smiley

In the past, the way these things have normally worked, is like a real movie, where people have particular roles that they play. For instance, in the last Bond movie that we did, Demon Drawer played Bond. That meant that he usually made any posts that described what Bond did or said. Only when it was crucial for Bond to do or say something to advance the plot and DD hadn't taken the cue for a while, would anyone speak for him. In some cases, people shared roles. For instance, I was a villian and handled all of the villian's posts during the week, but another researcher played that role during the weekends. We would communicate on threads on our own pages to coordinate our actions, if needed.

So, what you need to do, is choose a role to play. Some people, like Joanna, play themselves. If you wanted to take the role of Felix Leiter, I could have the horsemen find the body still alive. Then they could take you captive and you could play his role (eventually escaping to join Bond, of course). Just let me know and I will set it up for you. Alternatively, you could be a villian, but we already have alot of villians in this one. Or, you could make up a character that Bond meets whereever he goes next - say Agent 00X or something. Be careful, though with choosing a 00 character - DD has written a guide entry on them.

Hope this is helpful. And I hope to see you at the movie set again. smiley - smiley

Thanks - that helps heaps.
My apologies for previous breach of protocol! Finding my way around H2G2 is like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle of sky and sea without the picture on the box. All hints most gratefully accepted.

In this adventure, would it be possible for me to continue as a resurrection of the late Q? With guidance, you might be able to restrain me from popping up with gizmos too often. Is that idea a goer?

Thanks again,

Hi Kes, thanks for my Scarab charm bracelet, you gave me a great idea smiley - smiley. I've decided that Nadia's weakness is jewellery-related kleptomania, though perhaps I shouldn't have told you if you are going to be Q! I grew up in Hampstead, do you know the Everyman cinema? My primary school was behind it.

Yes, I used to frequent the Everyman. It has a certain charm, hasn't it? I recall the school. As hinted in my home page, I hung out near Englands Lane (in the "poorer" end - sort of Belsize\Primrose Hill). A habitue of the Washington pub, with occasional outbreaks of work when funds ran low. Great place to hang out.

I like the idea of jewellery klepto. - that's a very Bond villain trait, and opens many avenues for sub-plots. As Q, maybe I'll have to get JB to "bug" you with another be-jewelled bug!

See you on set!

Hi Kes. Q would be a good role. Even though he is not an actual part of the action, he can do things like you had him do with the motorcycles - be there via recordings, etc. And the gadgets are a big part of any Bond movie - the more the better!

Great - thanks. I'll watch the DAF postings and try to fit in - also holding off any gizmo excesses pending off-line discussion (at least until temptation proves too great..
