Hello John RedBear,

Several years ago, I had a very unusual dream, when I dreamt that two wolves would turn into young boys (about 12-13 years of age) and when in their human form (they were on a bridge over a small lake with a full moon), they told me that they had to hide because they have been perscuted but they told that their fear was totally unfounded as they had never attacked anyone. I have had other dreams about wolves and would only talk to me in their human form.

I am not a medicine cheif or shaman but I can tell you tht the wolf is a creature of great power and is a symbol of many things sometimes a good omen sometimes bad. They are seldom messengers but that does not mean to say they do not come to men by the Creator. I am thinking that much would depend on how it is that you and your people see the wolf in your culture. I am according to my family lore a member of the owl clan. The owl to some is a bad sign and to be feared. I do not know why this is a clan animal but we do not fear it that I know of. A clan animal is to be held sacred and never to be harmed. I wonder how we got it but it is too late to ask. Again I drift and am sorry. The wolfs in your visions somehow are special to your kin. Maybe when in days long past your people were closer to nature and the wolf was your clan animal or 'totem'.. Maybe you should ask of the Creator to guide you in the knowing of the signs they bring and speak of since it is He that sends the messengers. I wish I were more help but am happy to hear of your experience. I am finding more as time goes in BBC that we all aere kin in spirit and your wolves make this stronger in my heart.

Thank you Johnredbear for your very useful kind commnets and information. I know that my late father, had a love of wolves and would tell me that in Portugal wolves still roam in the wild. He said he wanted to go and live there. My Dad passed away just over three years ago.
