I think, therefore I am...I think.
So, who the hell am I? Beats me! I've been on the spinning rock for nearly sixty years, and I sometimes feel that I know less now than a decade ago. I look in the mirror and see a scattering of grey hair encircling three sides of my noggin, and I wonder if the same amount of damage is going on inside my cranium. But for all of the visible aging, I appear to getting happier by the year. I figure by the way things are progressing, that by the time my carers wrap me in my nappy in old age, I'll be the most contented man on the planet.
I live in a small country town on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, where my days are filled with all manner of useless past times. Every now and then, I get to spend a day at home. That might not sound too big a deal, but when one is dragged by the light of one's life, to the beach most days of the week, a day lounging in the garden, being waited upon by the good lady, is pure joy. I must however take the opportunity to point out that life for me is not all sunshine and roses. I had the misfortune of being born with a bone disease. I contracted a severe case of idleness whilst a child, and no amount of expense could allay the illness. To this day, I find it a real chore to escape my bed by mid-day.
But enough of that. My needs are few. The love of my wife fills me with a joy that can only be matched by apple pie and icecream. I no longer drink or partake of the evil weed, and my gambling is restricted to online poker, where my outlays are minimal. I spend probably a little more time online than I should, but that can be laid directly of the folk who patrol the battle ground that is the BBC Sport 606 racing page. A more dastardly lot you'll not find.
