I think I should. These are cold nights approaching winter, and our only source of heat will be each other.

Not if we're just lying there completely still. We'd need to do something to generate sufficient heat.

For a start, I think we should definitely go undercover, that would help to keep much of the heat in.
What do you think we should do next?

Well given that a lot of heat is lost around your lungs and chest, the first thing would be to keep that area warm, maybe by rubbing it. But if I'm lying on top of you, it would be difficult for your hands to get to your chest.
