Its sooooo quiet. I can almost hear myself think.
Hello. I am new to h2g2. I haven't really explored any of it yet, though I did take a look at one of the forums (where are our researchers from?)... I found it to be quite difficult to navigate to the most recent entries (I never did get there). If you know of a quicker way, please let me know. I also noticed that most of the other researchers are from England (or should I say Britain?), though I did spy a fair number of Aussies and Americans. I happen to be an American...from Chicago. Actually, the suburbs of Chicago really, but a peculiar trait about people who live near Chicago (within an approximate 80 mile radius) is that they generally refer to themselves as being FROM Chicago. Or being from Chicagoland. I don't know where the "land" part comes from, as Chicago is not a far-flung extension of anything Disney.
Anyway, here I am.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
