With the end of project party being up for debate, I guess that's me out of the beeb after end of March. *sigh* It has been good fun. I've loved every minute of it, I really have. Well, unless I get the opportunity to become an Italic or follow that dream of becoming a Vision Mixer, I guess thats me out of here!
Must go fill in that permanent job application form. London sounds good again.
Oh, and just a thought *yes, further to the one that I had two minutes ago. It is possible for me, but very very rare*:
While I was at school, I took the bus every day. On my low points, I often thought how easy that step would be to take just to end the whole damn thing. I found myself thinking that again this morning as i was waiting for the underground. Now, I dont have suicidal thoughts. Yes, certain people drive me nuts but it doesnt conciously feel like a problem at the moment. So why did I think that if I just took 2 steps forward.... See I dont even want to type the consequence! It worries me slightly. Before, it was a result of over-work, unhappiness with my social life and general depression with life. None of that seems to be a problem - if anything I am underworked, I am happy with the friends I have, though I cant see them as often as I would want as they are spread throughout the country, and I dont feel depressed. ah well, maybe nothing to worry about. See how the journey home and over the next few days goes.

Oh, honey! I know exactly how you feel, more than you might think. If you're having a down day, have a wee scream into a pillow - it does wonders for you
But on a more serious note, here's one friend who's not too far away

Yeah, I had a a couple of bad spots in the last year or so (not the worst I've been through but still not nice) and they kind of act as a learning experience in some ways. It's good that you're generally happy with the way things are and that should provide some sort of positive outlook.
Man, I wish I could think of something else helpful but I've just watched "Once Upon A Time In The West" and all that's going through my mind is that harmonica tune.

Hi FC
It's Paul, person you used to share a house with. If you remember (or knew) I worked for a while with ITV. If you really want to become a vision mixer I can give you some contacts heading in that direction at ITV.
I'll send you an email to your yahoo address with my details and, if you're interested, give me a call.

Paul (Tenaka) I'm sure she'd be delighted to get that info.

I'm sure that unless she has been deluged by emails over the weekend she'll be on here herself later.

Oh yes, deluged by emails. Busy, busy bee that I am. Or something. I'm sure hootooing isnt part of my job spec...
anyhoo... Paul! Yes, it was a fun year. Though I'm sure I drove you and Ian quite quite mad most of the time.
Tis awfully nice seeing you on here. That you still check up on me from time to time.
Hows things all going? L still good?
I dont remember ITV, I have to say. The thing with the vision mixing - we have to do an induction week here and part of it is messing about on the nitty gritty of tv and radio prod. Which is great, cos it gave me the chance of seeing this whole world, other than the training hat that now seems to be comfortably sat on my head. I managed to pull the role of VM and loved the half hour or so I was given of messing around. So much that I've booked onto another course at the start of feb. which will give me 2 days experience in elstree. The beeb also has a 'talent pool' which I'll be sending my cv off to soon and hopefully they'll keep me on file in case anything shows up.
But I'll be more than grateful to grab those contacts from you. It really is a case of it aint what you know, its who you know.
Cheers hon! Talk soon.

They cant kill Kenny. And definitely not in my bloody journal. Who'll clean up the mess???
Things are good. Applied for a Technical Author post down in Nodnol - which would be a cool job. I've always fancied myself doing that.
Other than that, DD is driving me mad, my boss will be in the office later today and tomorrow (oh, fun...) and I'm generally having a good time of it
