Election Result
Posted May 6, 2005
I'm not sure if I am allowed to say this now but I am glad that Labour have returned to power.
Whilst they have made some mistakes over the past 8 years I feel they are probably the best option for the country at the moment.
Especially as I work in the NHS and remember how bad it was under the Tories, I really feel that NHS is starting to progress and improve (at last) and would hate to have it set back again.
So I will keep the Red Flag fying although Tony's flag is probably a sort of blue/pink.
Hope the s aren't upset.

One Week To Go
Posted May 4, 2005
I have just realised that it is one week before I make the journey to Wembley to see the greatest band in the world.
It has been 19 years since my first concert which was also by the greatest band in the world.
Of course I am talking about Queen (+Paul Rodgers).
Time to start getting excited I feel !!!

HHGG Film

Went to see the film yesterday, generally a very good attempt.
But I did not like all the schmaltz at the end, where did that come from? This sort of thing happened with adaptations of Issac Asimov's books (particularly Bi-Centennial Man), why does Hollywood think that there always have to be a love interest? Also Lord of the Rings comes to mind, with Bl**dy Liv Tyler.
Whilst Douglas did write about love interests for Arthur it was never in the clumsy manner shown on the screen in this film.
It was good to see plenty of refrences to Douglas and the orginal TV series.
Mainly enjoyable with plenty of laughs.
