Lovely name. A flamenco dancer huh, I'm a ballroom dancer myself. So when are you going to put a picture of yourself (in flamenco costume) on your page?

A JRR Tolkien fan too. I have read the Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Loved Them. But now I don't have a lot of time for pleasure reading.

Hi Titania,

Will this be a private chat room (just the two of us wink, wink) or will there be others. Time? well I am in the EST time zone of the USA which is 5 hrs behind GMT. So the times I suggest will be in EST, since I don't know where you are. I can chat on my lunch hour 12 noon till about 1:00 or I can shift my lunch an hour either way to help accommodate you.

I am using the MS ie5.5 browser. It does have the chat patch from MS. I hope that this is capable of handling the chat room, what do you think?

I use Internet Explorer at home, and the chat room works then, but at work I use Netscape Navigator, and then I can't use the chat room...

...and I live in Sweden, which is GMT +1 which I guess makes me 6 hrs ahead of you...

...hmmm, let's see, I can probably be home around 6.30 pm my time - today, that is - which would make 12.30 pm your time, would that suit you?

Private? Well, that depends, there's usually no one there, unless someone sets up a 'date' - but anyone can access it at any time...

I have tried a couple of times, it maybe because I'm going though a proxy server at work. I usually get home around 6:00ish and don't have a chance of getting online until 9:00 which is 12:00 midnight or 03:00 for you. I guess we will have to communicate though this tread or e-mails. I'll keep trying to get into the chat room and let you know if I am successful.

No, I did not get in from home, but the internet was extermly slow that night and I have not had a chance to try again. I will continue to try and hopefully things will slow down enough to give me time to trouble shoot the problem.

I went on the internet and looked up some info on Sweden, it looks like a good place to live (a bit cold). How do you like it there?

If you had trouble less than 16 hrs ago, then that was most certainly trouble with the h2g2 server (unless you had trouble with other sites as well)

The other sites were slow but I could get in. Were the h2g2 servers having problems 16hrs ago?? I will retry tonight and let you know. Just check h2g2 in the morning to see if I got in and to suggest a time.
