I always put both the date and the time of wrting on my postings.

I have been to your home page to read about you but did not gather how and why you work at night - sometimes. Perhaps it is because you are in the medical profession?

And you tell me it rained last night. I never hear the rain - I can only see the lightining if it appears right next to me literally under my nose. !!
I look forward to the dawn breaking and seeing the colour of the sky. Then I can sometimes say what sort of day it is going to be.I was certainly wrong yesterday. !!

nice to have a name to write to.

I live right on the channel and can see France when the weather is clear.

I used to visit someone in prison every week - cannot remember which one because there are four there I seem to remember. It was quite an experience. and then he was released and before returning to his home came and spent a week or so with my son and I before going back to his family. I subsequently lost touch with him. but |I must say that the officials were always very kind to both myself and to him.

Hi all you dear people who have replied.

All new to me, but great to make new friends. I have just phoned my cousin who lives in the south of France. We talk French - naturally = to one another. She says that it is pouring with rain in the south of France.

When I asked you to give your local time I was also hoping that you could compare it with GMT - Greenwich Mean Time, which is the time that England has and which most countries in the western hemisphere take as the the time they relate to. So if you tell me it is 3 a,n, where you live you must either tell me what is that time in relation to GMT or it will mean nothing to me.

You see south africa is two hours ahead of GMT. wo like now it is 17.45 GMT where I live, but it is 19.45 both in France and in Cape Town where I used to live. But my brother lives in New York and it is six hours behind us there. It is useful to know that. My daughter lives in Australia and she is seven hours ahead of me. so I must be careful not to phone her up now because it is the middle of the night in Perth Australia where she lives.
