I'm Debbie. Here are some things about me, and some things I like.

I'm Deb, I was born in Leeds in 1978. I have type-2 Bipolar Affective Disorder and a couple of other milder forms of mental "illness". I'm single, and live with two cats, a Giant African Land Snail and some overly-excited goldfish.

Some things/people I like include: BBC4, brutalist concrete architecture, the history of the British monarchy, Private Eye magazine, Damien Hirst, various forms of music, fonts and typefaces, peacock feathers, old maps and photographs of places I know (such as the ones on leodis.net), Autumn, Terry Wogan, non-league football, good British comedy, animals and nature, Victoriana, the colour British Racing Green, Stephen Fry, good quality kitsch, classic children's TV from the era of Brian Cant, Derek Griffiths, Tony Hart, Floella Benjamin et al., the song "Wichita Lineman", Aston Martin cars, Professor Brian Cox, the English language (the "technology" of it: grammar, punctuation and spelling), Lynne Truss (inevitable given the last entry), early TV idents, logos and graphics, maps, atlases and satellite photos, learning.
