...we've got the beeeest choir in the land!
we've got the beeeeest choir in the land!
we've got the best choir in the laaaaaaaaand!!!
This weekend my school choir won the BBC Songs of Praise School Choir of the Year award for 2007 up in Manchester!! How amazing is that!!!
I don't know how we did it, 2 days before we didn't even know all the words and there we were on stage in our new matching suits and everything singing our hearts out to Malcolm Archer and Katherine Jenkins, who by the way is *fit* in real life!
And this is like a proper big deal, Songs of Praise is a real thing and we're involved and we won, and we got a trophy and some prize money, they're making an episode just on us and we're singing in a concert in the Royal Albert Hall which will be shown half in October and half on CHRISTMAS DAY!!!!
OH MY GOD!!! *does a jig of ecstatic happiness*
And we made our conductor cry, which for us is the biggest achievement we could have hoped for!!! They're showing it all on March 11th and 18th after they edit it. Wow, I'm going to be on tv with a shiny purple tie.

BR - nu uh! This is the one where they show the competition and that's going on tv in march and we're at school then. The end of year bit is when they record the next one.
Thanks everyone, it's amazing! I still can't believe that we won!

But then you won't be in that one if it's at the end of the year.

How does that work?

We just come back and do it basically. I don't know how it's going to work yet because we haven't been told, but it's probably going to be rather tricky.
