Welcome to my home.. watch out for the open flames over there..It's nice and warm in here 'cos of the fire and all.. people are always telling me that someday I'm going to burn this place to the ground. I just tell them that I'm going to do it anyway, so why worry about it, right?
Anyway
This is my humble abode, soot-stains and all.. Let's see, what shall I tell you next? About me.. I've just moved from a previous site (follow the 'me' link) because I couldn't seem to get the hang of things the first time out.. hopefully I'll do better this time.More
I went to Burningmanlast year for the first time and got hooked immediately! I mean, WOW! Larry Harvey - there's one frood who really knows where his towel is! I will be returning this year to join in the orgiastic ceremony of fire and art in the desert with a new outlook.. IF IT WON"T BURN, THEN WHY SHOULD I BOTHER?What I'm Doing
This year, unlike last, I will be bringing some art out to the playa (though maybe not burning all of it). I have several projects in the works, hinging upon finances, but I'm confident that I will complete at least two of them in time. Want to know more? email me!Current Projects
Current projects include, but not limited to:1) BurningGuy, a giant puppet (not to be confused with the BurningMan, thank you very much!). This skeletal apparition will rise on the night of the burn to haunt all of those who dare burn giant stick-figures.. (this project may not make it to the playa)
2) a rolling remote-controlled fin (no name yet) which will hopefully help someone along on a magical mystery tour of their very own as they see a shark fin rocketing along the desert floor, circling the unwary..
3) The Church of the Electron a robot-like figure bowing in awe before the Almighty Cross of the Electron, an icon composed of electronic bits and blinky things. This is meant to represent the narrowing of the gap between science, technology and religion. My belief is that as technology advances, it becomes closer and closer to magic. There may soon be a time when the two will become indistinguishable. this project WILL make it
4) a Running Diary of my pre and post-Burn experiences, which (if I'm lucky enough) will get published in the illustrious Black Rock Gazette, a locally produced and published paper for BurningMan
A Few More Things
