Hi Kheldar thanks for saying Hi
I don't really know who drew the picture I found it on a site that had all sorts of pictures of angels. She was my favorite

LOL!! How nice, that's the first time someone thanked me for saying hello. You're very welcome
Too bad you don't have the name, maybe he/she has more of that stuff. I can really enjoy watching those kind of pics.

Me too it. One of my favorite artists is Escher, he's stuff is very cool. Just relaxing with some candles and some funky art work to space out to I wish I was doing it now

I got a CD the other day, that was packed with all kinds of fantasy and SF drawings by known artists. I spent an entire afternoon checking all the pics out. Amazing stuff in there
I even sometimes buy a book, just because I think the cover looks great (most of the times the book is good too). I discovered a lot of writers that way that I wouldn't have otherwise

This seris that I'm reading now "Otherland" the third book has one of the coolest picture I have seen on it.
My brother works in a book store and he puts aside all kinds of things he thinks I'll like. Cool dust jackets posters and stuff like that. And all at a discount price

Otherland...isn't that Tad Williams? I read the other series he wrote, Memory, Sorrow and Thorn. I thought that one was pretty good. Is Otherland a good series? I mean, I'm almost finished with the Terry Goodkind books, and the latest Robert Jordan is waiting, but after that I need something new

I think Otherland" is very good, but they are long books. He still has one more that will finish the series which will hopefully be out soon How was his other series? Maybe I'll start that when I'm done with these.

It's a bit like Tolkien...at least, that's the first thing that comes to mind right now. It's been a few years now since I've read them, so I can't tell you all the details. I do know that it's definately worth reading

By all means do . I suppose I better talk to ShazzPRME one of these days to borrow her Otherland books from her then

I would highly recomend that so what else do you spend your time doing, if you don't mind my asking?

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been in London for the past few days .
In my spare time, I work in Het Kasteel, which is a Pop & Culture Centre in Alphen aan den Rijn. It's an organization run by volunteers, and we do lots of stuff with music, bands, workshops and so on. If you go to my page, you can find the entry I wrote on it. It explains in depth (more or less) what Het Kasteel is about (cause it would be a bit too much to explain it here )

O.k. so I'm not able to log on for a few days and I come back to find everythings changed on me, oh well.
BTW I read your acrticle very cool. How was the meet up? I saw some of the picture

Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Dec 4, 2000
Everything's changed on you? In what way?
The meet was absolutely brilliant . Lots of fun, but I think that by looking at the pictures you had already gotten that impression. Whose pics have you seen?

Well there is a lot more stuff on the side (read, talk, etc). It's not bad I just didn't know they were updateing again but it does seem to be running slower, but that may also be my computer.
I saw Galaxy's and someone elses I don't remember who. From what GB said your tall as a mountain I saw a picture of you and her and I thought she was very short.

Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Dec 5, 2000
Are you running on the Classic Goo skin, or the Alabaster skin?
And I must say, GB is indeed not one of the tallestpersons, but I must admit that I am quite tall as well
Hiya Courtney :-)
Courtney Patron Saint of Social Embarassment Posted Dec 5, 2000
Classic goo. I was not able to log on for a week or so when I came back on I was shocked. I think I like it though.
I am watching my mom's puppy while she's in Florida and I think I'm going to kil it. I have to bring it into work and all she does is bark. grrr oh well she'll be back in one week.
Hiya Courtney :-)
Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Dec 5, 2000
I like classic much better than the alabaster. Probably because when I joined up, there was only classic, and I've grown used to it. All the new people get alabaster by default, and can change it later, if they know it exists. That's why there is also a Classic Goo Fanclub, to spread the word and promote the classic skin
As for the puppy, that kinda proves what I always thought. Pets are great when somebody else has them, but when they end up in your own house, they could cause a lot of trouble

I am also found of classic my angel looks better in it. When I started I just got it but the option of alabaster was there too.
I have a cat that I found about four years ago, she was a stray. I am very found of her, she does her own thing and I do mine as long as there is food, water and a clean box she doesn't care if I'm there or not.
Key: Complain about this post
