Well, when we have performances on stage, the bands get paid, but the actual work (like the bar, the wardrobe, entrance and so on) is done completely by volunteers.
People that you know...let me think...there's ShazzPRME and Towelmaster, there's Arutha, Don Vito and Freggel...of course there's ClownMCP, there's Spinner, and me of course . Nah, nobody you know I think

Sorry it took me so long to reply holidays tied me up That cool. Do you every get any famous bands or are they usually local band?
Hiya Courtney :-)
Kheldar (Don't hate the media, Become the media) Posted Jan 8, 2001
It all depends. We get the famous Dutch bands, but not so many foreign bands. We're not big enough for that. Our initial goal was to provide a place for the youth of Alphen, to express their creativity, or just relax. That's why we still support local (starting) bands a lot. To get to a bigger public however, we started to program a lot more than that. Houseparties, the top of the Duitch music industry etcetera

It is very cool. This way we make sure that we never have two of the same nights in a row, or even in a week. It's a very different place every evening, especially because the organizations of the parties always decorate the entire place

Just note that there are only two people in Het Kasteel at the moment who work with us and get paid. The rest is all on volunteers work. If that's OK, by all means do

But then I would have to find a way to pay all the bills. But still sounds very cool.

You can always think of it as a job on the side. Of course that would mean that you need to find a real job as well...mmmm...tricky...

Well...the smileys only get bigger it seems. Looks like you're looking forward to this. I'll probably have the same weekend as always. Working again. Looks like I can't really find the time to do things just for fun...

hehe I don't usually get to take the time to do fun things but I bribed one of the guys I work with to cover for me this weekend. But next week I'll be working both jobs every day. It's worth it though. Take some time off fly to the US and hang out with us for the weekend easy enough right

That sounds cool is it for work or a vacation? Do you know where in the States?
I had so much fun the weekend. It snowed a lot and we had a huge snowball fight and made a snowman.

Alabama. Visit some friends of ours, and from what I've heard there are a few other h2g2-ers trying to make it over there. Something like a meet thingy . Definately for vacation as you've probably gathered.
As for the snow...we had the same thing over here. It's been ages since I had that much fun
