I totally agree with what you said on the DW thread, Jim Lynn and Jims seem to think they own the thread and what they say must go, but then rabid fanboys aren't a pretty sight *Shudder*

Anyway the reason for my intrusion is to say again, you're more than welcome on Gateworld, yes I know it's a Stargate site but the do have a DW section and I thought you might like a taster of what went on in a post episode discussion for The Lazarus Experiment http://forum.gateworld.net/showthread.php?t=42380 and to say as well that a few other people on the site have been having a laugh with the speculation of 42 being a 24 type episode.

I've just clicked the link: another online community! I have enough trouble juggling h2g2 and the Glastonbury forums. I'll wander back when I'm not suffering from a box of red wine.

I can see where the Jims are coming from but think they are living in a world of Earthshock. We are never going to have the like again (and I'm not just saying that because I had a crush on Matthew Waterhouse)

I don't spend as much time on h2 as I did, I found myself a life *Shock Horror* so I'm busy with that, and don't worry about the link, I thought you might be interested in a site that hasn't got it's hands tied by self important present and former site editors, but what Jims and Jim Lynn are failing to do it clarify what is and isn't a spoiler

Me saying 'From what I've seen, 42 is less Douglas Adams and more Jack Bauer' is speculation and the bit about 'Martha and the Dr having to save a Spaceship from blowing up' can be read in any TV listings mag and would have been on the trailer at the end of Lazarus Experiment if there hadn't been that two week break.

Jims has always let his love of Who cloud his judgment, I made the mistake of playing a game of Hide and Seek in his precious DW Society once, he threatened to put me on pre mod if I a) did it again or b) took the p!$$ out of him for being a rabid fanboy.

Anyway Rant Over

The 2Js are trying to clarify what a spoiler is but unfortunately they can't: spoilers are in the eye of the beholder. It's not fair to hold them responsible for falling on the side of caution: their sensibilities have to be different to ours. And at least Smij is still posting! How many other former italics make the effort?
