Hi, I was given your U number by my ACE lil, she suggested I speak to you. I read your intro page...WEEBLS-STUFF RULES!

'Allo.
I was going to pop by and leave you a message but am shortly off out to meet another h2g2er for a couple of pints (we're a terribly sociable bunch you know.)
I read a bit of that convo you had with lil. Fear not, nobody chats anybody up around 'ere (I've been here over two years and haven't been chatted up once.) but there is much banter.
I've got to go turn my pork chop. Back in a sec.

*grabs shoes*
Nah, it's not expected, but some of us have made genuine real life friendships with people on site.
*ties laces*
For example 2legs comes down here quite often for drunken evenings and rumor spreading (anything anyone tells you about 2legs and I isn't true. Well, maybe some of it is...)
*looks for a shirt without a fresh Guinness stain*
*Ooh! Dead or Alive music on Six O'Clock News!*
You spin me right round baby, right round...
Where was I?
Oh yeah. MazinMadFiddler, with whom I'm about to have a drink, went to the same school as I, in Ramsgate, ten years before me. We only know this because of h2g2!
Once you get to know people a bit better you'll find that there are small pockets throughout the country that hook up occasionally, and it's usually a right old laugh.
Anyway, I must away to the boozer.
Laters.

Ooh yeah, it were great so it were. Nice ale, shame about the pub, but a frightfully pleasant evening. I even gave lil a drunken phone call!

Feeling a tad rough today but starting to recover now. I'm off up to Edinburgh tomorrow for the towel Day meet. If anybody tells you that the internet is bad for your social life they are very, very mistaken!
And yep, that is a Rankin reference. And yes, I am sad enough to have once named a bicycle 'Marchant.'

I've not read much recent stuff - I think he peaked with the Brentford and Armageddon stuff.
It's a bit odd that, after not having thought of RR for a couple of years, I've ended up having four or five conversations about him over the last month! (hence the 'Lazlo Woodbine' reference).
I must dig out The Antipope and dive back in.

My favourite remains 'The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocolypse'

I've started reading that but got sidetracked, as one does. I think Armageddon The Musical is probably my favourite, though I haven't read it for a while.
Nah, scratch that, it has to be The Antipope, just for introducing the world to the cultural icons that are Pooley & O'Malley.

Ah yes, Pooley and O'Malley. In a way they remind me of Weeble and Bob

Hey, I've just read your profile thing properly...whoopee Yorkshire rules

Yorkshire? You've confused me there a little. I'm from County Durham and Kent! And Germany, sort of.
I'm not sure I can handle this imminent Scotland drinkie. The torment one puts oneself through in pursuit of happiness.
