Er... hate to hurry/hassle or generally sort of wibble, but have you given any thought atall as to where and what time we're all meeting up for the Good Friday Beer Fest?

I thought outside Margate Train Station around 11.30 would be a fairly safe bet - we could surely get to the Winter Gardens by midday in time for kick off, couldn't we?

And there's safety in numbers as such.

Sounds good to me! It also means we can take in the sights, er, sight on the way.

Assuming the Clock Tower counts as a sight...

The Pier's been tarted up a bit with a rather nifty lighting and fancy dancing paint job

- I went to the interview with the artist, and was at the official opening a couple of weeks ago -

it's rather jolly pretty at night, so we'll have something to vaguely focus on on the way home, anyway

OK... you give 2 legs a bell and I'll email RF and MMF... or something. Is it OK to bandy your mobile number about so we've all got a note of at least one other member's mobile so we can sort of keep in touch?

And as you're the instigator of theis debacle, I thought it might be nice for you to have the honour



(And besides, I'm having trouble finding out what my mobile number *is... I don't often ring myself, you see)



I rather think I'm going to regret my phraseology of this posting, somehow, but you'll have to excuse the meanderings of a reasenably middle aged lady on her second glass of the evening

Mind you, he was smart enough to plead prior enagement when I mentioned I'd be in Canmbridge this weekend, so maybe he's not that daft, after all!

It probably makes more sense for you to call him: last thing I knew he was staying at your place on the Thursday, but I'm a bit vague on that bit!

Last *I heard he was considering risking the Bank Holiday Time Table and arriving straight at Margate on the Friday. He may well travel down with RF and I'll join them on the thru train at Herne Bay - or thats what I envisgaed, anyway.

Yep - I'll bell him when I get back from my weekend and find out what he's planning - I've no problems with any of you staying as long as you need to, to be honest.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for an email from you in the meantime, but I'll be a bit busy till probably Monday if thats OK?

Cool. I've sent the email. I'm still going down on the Thursday, or maybe even Wednesday night, seeing the folks then crashing at a mate's in Broadstairs (not that they know this yet...)

Fair do's. If there isn't a place at your mate's on the Thursday then just turn up and keep bleating the intercom (it's purple) until someone answers the door. Or at least the entry phone.
