What happened? I take it, it was just alcohol induced loss of plot?
Anyway, you posted that you’d been listening to lots of Dead Can Dance on the music thread last week. I’ve been reading a bit about them recently but haven’t heard anything by them, so I wondered if you could give any recommendations on which album to get. I’ve burnt my fingers buying blind a few times recently and I've heard that not all their albums are of the same quality.

Yep, it was completely alchohol induced loss of plot. I hoped nobody noticed...I don't half feel a pillock.
The only Dead Can Dance I've got is disc 1 of their 'farewell' compilation 'Wake'. A mate found it in a skip! I'm going to hunt some more down once I'm over the post-Xmas skintness but am in almost the situation as you. The (half) compilation I've got varies quite a lot so I'd hate to pick an album 'blind'.
If I find a goody I'll let you know.

I wouldn’t worry about it – It’s hardly the first 
embarrassment I’ve seen here. I just count myself lucky that typos are the worse thing I’ve posted when under the influence.
It’s amazing what you can find in a skip!
I’ll probably just take the plunge and get one of their albums soon. I read that their early stuff is a bit goth (not my thing) so I’ll pick something from the 90’s. I’ll let you know what I think.
