Aaaarrrggghhh!!!!! Hi there.

Who Am I? My name is Morrison, and I'm a time-hopping journalist from the late-Victorian period. A couple years ago, my arch-nemesis, the Ragin' Cajun Crawdaddy Jim, trapped myself and my research assistant, Man Boy, in the latter quarter of the 20th century. I spent the first couple years fighting for my freedom, trying in vain to re-open a time portal back to my own era, but to no avail. I found myself stuck here, my only consolation being that as bad as the Nineties seemed, at least I missed a major portion of the Seventies. Now, in an effort to support myself, I work for various music and pop culture magazines, writing about (appropriately enough) music and pop culture.

I also continue to fight against Crawdaddy Jim, waging the battle of good versus evil (or at least high- versus low-camp) under the guise of Mr. SicK, lead singer and programmer for the electronic-chaosium band, (SIC) (soon to be experiencing a long-overdue name-change). Our electronic-infused monster-metal-mash is just the fix a techno-junkie needs. Feel free to ask me more about this in a more private forum (alpha-waves are fine, I'll leave channel X-3zFi open).

What Am I Hoping To Get Out Of This Site? Well, I hope that someone on this site will discover, and post, the information that will get me home. But I'm not even sure this is possible anymore, so in the meantime, I hope that I can add something to what should be -- if all goes well -- the ultimate compendium of human knowledge. I think that The Guide is an idea who's time has come (well, truthfully, its time came when the books were written, and it's only now that technology has caught up to DNA's vision, but we can't *really* fault society for moving slowly, can we?), and I like that its something who's success I can (hopefully) contribute to. Besides, it's fun, isn't it.

Besides Writing Obviously Deluded Bios, What Else Am I Into? I'm a journalist and love to write, and I love music -- both playing it and writing about it. I'll listen to anything once, and tend to gravitate towards anything that will upset my parents (who are still young enough to think that the generation gap between them and myself can be bridged, but old enough to be scared by any of my attempts to do so). I listen to lots of electronic music (industrial, EBM, trance, house, trip-hop), metal (the newer stuff, like Slipknot, Fear Factory, System of a Down), punk (older, newer, hardcore, etc.), and tons of random stuff that escapes me at the moment. I like to read, mostly sci-fi, mostly classic stuff from the Fifties. Favorite authors include Clarke, Heinlein, Bester, Dick. But I also like non-sci-fi stuff, especially Shakespeare and comic books (either classic super-hero stuff, or the newer, more literary crop). I'm a pop-culture buff, love all sorts of movies and gadgets and anything related to the original wave (ca. 1930) of Buck Rogers. Don't even get me started on Buck. Close personal friend and lovely gent. There's more, but that's enough for now.

Is That It? And an Important Note Yeah, that's it. One thing: many of the entries I make will be cut-down or expanded versions of articles I've written and published over the past few years. I only mention this so that people don't accuse me of plagarizing some writer in the States -- that writer is me, and I hereby give myself permission to rip off as much as possible without giving myself credit (and I'll only do it when I own the rights to a piece, as opposed to them being owned by the magazine who ran the story). What can I say -- I use a lot of pseudonyms and sometimes problems and confusion can arise... But I just want to write. And get home. So it goes.

Is there anybody out there?

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
