Welcome to the world of Dr.Diversity
Well, maybe it's a bit dangerous to choose a name containing Dr., as I'm still studying and working to get my Ph.D. degree. Anyway, the subject of my studies is something about how you can estimate biological diversity through analysis of satellite images at the landscape level. I've been so fortunate that the people of the European Commission have offered me a grant so I can live in Italy and work at the Joint Research Centre in the small town of Ispra - on the east bank of.. Lago Maggiore, the subject of my first entry.

I'm Danish by virth, grew up in Faaborg (6000 inh, possibly subject of my next entry, if you can't wait check here http://www.faaborgguide.dk/uk/profil-uk.htm" >http://www.faaborgguide.dk/uk/profil-uk.htm ) and has until now studied Geography at the University of Copenhagen. And yes, also in DK the "Hitchhikers Guide.." was hugely popular, I was introduced to it back in the 80's, and found it very entertaining. So, great surpirse to find out that somebody are now actually trying to realise the ideas of the book.
