That's the graphic files! If you are loading the page for the first time then they need to be downloaded (some 10kByte each). But after that, your Browser should have stored them in its cache and the page should load faster. Just load again and see if there's a difference, or check the cache settings of the browser.

How come I get credits for the page? I haven't done anything yet!

other possibilities:
- Alabaster loads faster than Goo, so you might want to switch to Alabaster (although it isn't really beautiful, seen from my eyes)
- a lame connection. My provider has its good times and its bad times, and sometimes it works if I just disconnect and reconnect again

Oh, if it's that... you could play a bit with colours For example the attribute (it's HTML, not GuideML, but it works). Or tables with different background colours, or different fonts. I never used these myself, but I'm going to search for a user from who you can copy
