Kiruna
Kiruna is one of the most beautyful places I have ever been. In the summer there is sun at midnight, actually there is sun 24 hours a day. In the winter it is dark everyday. Kiruna is Swedens biggest city north of the polar circle, I would guess that there are somewhere around 10000 people living in Kiruna. The nighlife in Kiruna is very nice, they have a couple of discos - but the best thing (and the cheapest) is to stay out in front of a place called Kupoll Grillen. All the young people hang out here, drinking the biers they brougth from home... Kupoll Grillen is a fastfood place, great Caribou meat and free refill on the Coke.
When you are in Kiruna, be sure to vissit Abisko. It is located 100 km north of Kiruna, the nature is perfect and if you are in to snowscooters you can hire one for SEK 500.-
THe cheapest place to stay in Kiruna is >>THE YELLOW HOUSE<<, be sure to reserve a couple of days before. One night was i April SEK 125 a person. I can recomend Kiruna, I love it when its cold. :-)
