Hi cactuscafe smiley - biggrin

A bit late, I know, but I just finished reading your NaJo 2014 thread smiley - biggrin I had to stop reading last year after your lovely post about dreaming and grief smiley - cry as it meant so much to me, but your other posts were lovely also and full of joy music in the way you write smiley - magic

Interesting that you were getting into birdwatching then, too - I've enjoyed a few outings this year myself and have seen a variety of birds, including the superb kingfisher smiley - biggrin

It's not Pet Shop Boys, but I thought you might enjoy my latest video smiley - blushhttp://youtu.be/FqR4ewP2YpY

All the best smiley - tea

Hullo SashaQ!

Lovely to hear from you! And great video, I love your dancing drawings, and the keyboards sounding great! I love that tune, The Power of Love.

I was just listening to it in the gym, earlier, in fact! I have my CDs of Christmas songs in my ipod. Holly's version is in there, but there's also someone singing it in Spanish! I must find out who that is.

Thanks for your kind words about my NaJoPoMo rambles. heheh. That seems a long time ago! I never got to it this year.

So you're a birdwatcher also eh? I've been out to the Exe Estuary a few times this winter. Apparenty the avocets are around, but I haven't seen any yet. Amazing birds out on the Estuary, it's RSPB country.

Glad you enjoyed my video smiley - biggrin I enjoyed being able to include quite a bit of the dancing as it really suited the tune! smiley - biggrin

I like Holly's version, as his voice is very passionate and suits the song, but that is interesting about other versions smiley - ok

I go to RSPB country on the Dee Estuary - there were some avocets around earlier this year, but last time I visited the Teal had taken over smiley - biggrin All good to see.

Best wishes to you too for the holiday season! smiley - hollysmiley - magic

Hullo SashaQ!

The Dee estuary? I've never been up that way, so its RSPB country also! Do you have any photos?

I was just saying to Bob in another posting, about how we haven't seen any avocets yet, even though we've heard they arrived in October.

I ate a sandwich on a bench in Topsham the other day, as one does, unless one doesn't, smiley - rofl, and within a few minutes I was being stared at by several swans, gulls, pigeons, a couple of white geese with orange beaks, and most of the wildlife of the Exe estuary, all after a bite of my sandwich.

Strange, those white geese with orange beaks. They've been hanging out with the swans for years, we first noticed them years ago, further up the river, at the Quay in Exeter. These must be the great great grandchildren. smiley - rofl

Hullo cc!

Sorry for the delay - I thought I did have photos, but when I go to the RSPB place, I concentrate so much on getting closeups of the birds, I forget to take a landscape view!

I visited again last weekend, and here's quite a good one, with the birds in the foreground, but the scrape is quite clear in the background http://www.flickr.com/photos/sashaq99/24517198966smiley - biggrin

And here's a robin! http://www.flickr.com/photos/sashaq99/24435082592

I can imagine what it looked like when you started eating your sandwich, with just one bird having a look, then others starting to draw in to see what they were looking at, and all admiring the food and hoping for crumbs! smiley - laugh

I'm sure you enjoyed your holiday! I hope you had good weather for it.
