Oh, now I won't be able to get that song out of my head, because I used to have to play it for choirs to sing every winter, over and over.

'I'm going for better not avoid you taxes in any dimension

rather than snog your grand parent'

doesn't make sense does it?

sorry, I do check my postings after tequilla, sometimes while I am awake the same day

so I'm going for better not avoid your taxes and don't snog your grand parents in any dimension

as a rule of thumb

that is much better advice smiley - zen

smiley - rofl \uh oh, what's going on here then?

(reads postings)

smiley - huhsmiley - rofl I love it.

Good evening travellers in time and wonderlight and indigo beauty.

Ah yes, and then there are Brent geese.

What?

Brent geese. We've been birdwatching again, and we saw Brent geese. They eat grass. I never knew that geese ate grass. My world is changed. Geese eat grass. I might not get over this.

And they fly in from Siberia for the winter. How do they find their way? How do they know when they've got here?

Apparently, I read somewhere, a pure indigo does exist, in the visionary space of the mind's eye, an indigo that cannot be matched in paint or word. In fact, there are many colours like this, a galaxy of visionary colours beyond colours.

This, of course, isn't relevant to geese eating grass, so I think I will celebrate this life with some smileys. Nice to keep on topic. smiley - roflsmiley - offtopic

ah that's better.

talking of galaxies, and spirals, and visionary indigo, I saw something in the news about galaxies and spirals, which I don't really understand, but I don't think even the Brent geese could find their way there, unless there is grass.

I've just looked up bird naigation, nature never ceases to amaze me smiley - bigeyes

off on a tangent, it reminded me of the skills of human navigation, I watched a BBC programme Desert: Life in the Furness, and how people navigate the trek for water for themselves and their herds.

Either going to water holes or what seemed like completely random wells in the middle of nowhere which were just genius and no small feat to get there, talking days rather than hours, children and all

Speaking of bird navigation - a fascinating subject - please, y'all go over to A87781468 and encourage andrei. smiley - smiley

Aren't those pictures of galaxies amazing - beautiful and awesome. smiley - galaxy

I know of other strange objects in the sky that are the result of galactic collisions - like the Antennae - see A40980378.

And yes, animal ability to navigate is remarkable too.

We've obviously lost it though - otherwise why do people use GPS?

What a treasure trove of tiny miracles! Thankyou interdimensional travellers!

Pigeon navigation, Corvus the Crow, the Antennae Galaxies, the white spirit bears! so much wonder in this world! I think a sense of wonder is one of the keys to health. A sense of wonder, which could also be described as a surrender to wonder. I think it is a surrender, because, for me at least, wonder can be almost scary, like when you're a kid and the world around you is awesome and peculiar and magic.

Haha, yes GPS. smiley - rofl. I sense a contemporary story about navigation, loss of direction and eventual homecoming, which involves footprints, ESP, a faulty GPS, a main road going nowhere, a love affair going somewhere, telepathy, spiritualism, coincidence, a book of poems, a vision of an astral city, and a juggler named Harvey.

? where's the footprint smiley gone?

(I'm navigating the smiley index haha I have no GPS, ESP, LED or MVP (to guide me) smiley - rofl)

Take the first left at the strangely named smiley - martianfrown roundabout, go past the field with the smiley - pony and the smiley - sheep in it, stop in the layby half a mile after the smiley - bus stop, and lo! I find the single footprint, and then I find the smiley - footprints smiley!

smiley - footprintssmiley - footprints

The martianfrown smiley - martianfrown roundabout. Now there lies a story. Why is it named martianfrown? There must have been some kind of sighting here, grumpy aliens in a traffic jam.

I love the story idea, cactuscafe. smiley - smiley Though it would be difficult to include all these things in one story.

You could start with a man who's been made redundant. He can't face going home to his status-conscious wife, so he decides to return to the place he grew up. He finds it changed, and the journey becomes a pilgrimage, to all the places that might be significant to him - from schools and cathedrals to mountains and beaches. And by the time he's finished his journey, he's discovered himself...smiley - zen
