You're up early!

Saw you online, so I thought I'd reply to one bit of your missive from last night quickly now. (My ISP wasn't letting me online towards the end of last night. Grr!)

I'm actually coming up to Sheffield this evening. The company is MHG (Systems) Ltd. in Moss House, High Street, Mosborough. However they've just sent me a map with some directions on, which seem fairly consistent with what you were suggesting, but it's always good to have two sets of directions that don't actually conflict! Thanks for the huge amount of detail there!

So I'll be there this evening (not sure where I'm staying yet, I'm going to be told later apparently). I'll be working tomorrow. Will probably be back up on Sunday evening and around for a few days, but it depends on how much work needs doing.

Do you want to meet up for a drink or something? If you do, it might be best to send me a text message or call me on [Personal details removed by Moderator]because my net connection has been a bit dodgy, and I also anticipate spending a lot of today in a car! (Speaking of which, if you *do* want to meet up, and you want to see the Elise, let me know asap, as I was planning to come in the Audi - Sheffield's a long way away, and much as I love the Elise, the Audi's a lot more comfortable for motorway driving...)

Looks like I just missed you this morning... I'm unlikely to be on the Internet between now (I'm leaving in a moment) and when I get back (Friday night, or possibly some time Saturday, depending) by the way.

I don't know how you can sound suprised at me being awake, I'm always cheery and brighteyed at that time, you know my motto early to bed early to rise errr last one to bed gets to eat all the pies...smiley - smiley

Anyway I'm going to write a full (that would sound harmless if you didn't know that I meant itsmiley - smiley )reply tomorrow but having spent all day at my brothers (honestly he's so unreasonable he spent half the day laughing at me because as soon as I got there I saw the state of his kitchen and refused to help him until I'd done all his washing up and cleaned the cooker, work tops and fridge, I mean I thought that was fairly justifiable but he just found it funnysmiley - smiley ) trying to fix the computer I'm sick of the site of the monitor...although my computer now seems happy again so yeahsmiley - smiley

Anyway I thought I ought to apologise for leaving you to suffer Renishaw on your own...well admittedly not on your own as there were the cowssmiley - smiley You see when you said you were coming up to Sneffiela in a few days time due to my own inept time keeping I failed to realise that a few days time would be Thursday and Friday rather than next week so I didn't connect the two with me arranging to go out. So err sorry about that but by the time I'd realised that you meant Thursday I'd already agreed to doing other things otherwise I wouldn't have missed the opportunity to tease the scary cows in Renishawsmiley - smiley

And more annoyingly we never even got to the cinema on Friday as when we were out walking on Friday (in the sun...arms are now even browner, strap marks are now even whiter, strapless dress is being worn to ball on Thursday, gaaa) we took longer than we thought and someone (ahem, lalala) decided to paddle in large river, someone was then encouraged to see how deep large river was and so someone got over enthusiastic and splashed in the water abit too much. Said someone was then quite wet and muddy and so couldn't go straight to the cinema as planned and had to be sent home for a bath in order to remove manky water logged clothing and manky water logged smell. Someone then may have got distracted and may also have caused everyone to be too late to go to the showing we'd arranged (admittedly they were happy as there was only me who wanted to see the Nicholas cage film with many explosions and so they were relieved not to be forced to sit through it)and the only other option was Perfect Storm and even George Clooney wasn't a powerful enough force to drag us to thatsmiley - smiley We ended up watching exceptionally cheesy Hollywood teen videos which strengthened my dislike for "girl is geek, boy gets with girl as a bet, girl takes off glasses and is instantly beautiful and so boy falls in love with her, girl finds out about bet, girl runs off, boy makes up with girl and all live happily ever after" films...I think after the first ten you tend to get bored...although this one had Buffy in it so that was amusingsmiley - smiley

Anyway...*realises she probably could have ended that after the first paragraph but also realises if she did that then there'd be a danger of conciseness and that'd never do*,
I'll write tomorrowsmiley - smiley

Well in the previous message I got from you, I think you were saying how foolish you thought I'd been to go to work at 7am, and were boasting about staying in bed until 1pm, that was all.

Don't worry about failing to meet up - I tend to forget that my habit of planning no more than 3 days in advance tends to catch people out... I would have given you more warning, except I didn't know about it myself until I first mentioned it. And sadly I was far too efficient - they thought they were going to need me for 3 or 4 days, whereas I managed to solve all their immediate problems in 1 day (which I think mitigated a little against their initial incredulity when I told them how much I planned to charge them per day smiley - smiley). So I thought I was going to be in Sneffiela again next week, but this is now looking less likely. I'll probably come back one more time - I left them with a bunch of stuff they should do to their system, and they wanted to get me back in to check it all over when they're finished. It's possible that this will be next week, but it depends on how quickly they get it done. Anyway, when I know if/when I'll be back, I'll be more specific next time!
