Hmmm, just had a look at a couple of pictures and I can just about see it. I don't think my hair has ever been that long, though.

*waves* hello all. Just in case there were any, I'm here to state that contrary to the rumours, I am not dead. Yet.

*wanders off in a daze, because his glasses fell apart this morning, causing him to bumble about blearily, until they got fixed, by which time he had a headache, and now he has to fiddle around printing out a long script, which he isn't doing, because he's decided to pop onto h2g2 on a whim to make a short posting, which is rapidly turning out not only longer than he intended, but will probably be the cause of even more headaches for the people who attempt to read it and still require sensible use of punctuation*

Happened to me the other night, Mr. T. There's nothing more annoying than only being able to see out of one eye: it gives you a bloody awful headache.

Is this not why Sellotape was invented?

That's all well and good, provided that you can see the sellotape in the first place. And your missing lens/screw/frames. Plus you look a right prat with sellotape and a rubber band holding your glasses together. I know this.

I'm sure a person would look equally silly walking round squinting at everything.

Once your glasses are taped up, you only need to make it as far as the nearest Opticians, surely?

Ah, but being the prat that I am, I always seem to lose a lens...

Plus to get to my optician requires a bus trip. How am I going to see what number it is? Duh...
