Hi Ekki,
Where are you, where have you been" Grimley Moer desperately needs another injection of pure nonsense. I have been in the grip of this desperate urge to move the plot along in certain coherent directions, which have a habit of becoming just a bit too coherent.
But then, I've started thinking of Grimley ( presumptuously, arrogantly, conceitedly ) as a kind of Discworld, where anything may happen, so long as it adds to the flavour and general merriment of the Ballad Sallad.
I have also felt it necessary to add some dark shadows to the silliness, to give it a bit more complexity. ( For me, Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass was the scariest book of my childhood - with the really scarey Tenniel illustrations _ and Jabberwocky the scariest poem ever written, with the possisble exception of Struwwelpeter, but that was only because my dear old Gran convinced me that a Big Red-Legged Scissor Man lurked behind every door, waiting to cut off my thumbs if I ever, ever sucked them!)
Anyway, I'm off on my holidays on Thursday next ( June 26th.), only ten days but seriously worrying regarding Grimley withdrawal symptoms.
Looking forward to seeing some Ekki-cise taking over Gimley, or have you been taking Ekki-nacea as an antidote to Balladitis?
o a.k.a. wallah

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
