I just now discovered that you have left h2g2.
I'll miss your input here. *sigh* You've been one of the unique flavors that makes this place so palatable to me.
Best wishes in your new ventures, Martin. I think you'll make a difference wherever you go and whatever you do.

Kind words - thanks you
I'm sure there'll be lots of other people for you to taste... *ahem*, I mean to make the place palatable for you

How did I know that a conversation entitled 'Oh poop' would have been started by Mother of God?
I missed all the dramas, because I was travelling around Australia gazing at an empty moon. However I find it interesting that you and Hoo and I are all disenchanted and all at the same sort of time.
Since I have not read the backlog I do not know what moved you on from here, and I won't be following you to your new cyberland.
Take care, I am living in a town near you famous for its girls' school and being the starting point for a rail-way disaster. I would love to have lunch sometime and get the full story - I'll buy. It is easier than reading the bloody backlog.
All the best.

Ben! You're back!
It's pretty disturbing that an "oh poop" sitting on someone's doorstep makes you think of me, though. I wasn't aware that THAT was the sort of calling card I was known for.
Anyway, not you and Hoo too..... nooooooooooo! I guess I haven't been lurking in the right places, am not really aware of what all the disenchantment is about. But noooooooo.... we can't lose ALL our starry-eyed idealists (with teeth).
For some reason I'm thinking of Atlas Shrugged. Have things gotten so bad that y'all have to pull out or be eaten alive?

I am not actually leaving. Not as such. And I have no idea what Hoo is up to at all, though I should be seeing him later this week, and I hope to find out then.
But my relationship with h2g2 is changing and I have no idea what is going to change into.
Good to see you again MoG.

Okey dokey. Hope it doesn't change into a ....werewolf.... or something.
Since you'll be seeing Hoo give him a big, slurpy from me, one of those that'll curl his toenails. I feel I can entrust you with this mission. He's had me roaring with laughter a number of times.

Schlurpy toe-curlers with Hoovooloo? Now there's a thought! I have a pressie for him from Oz as it is - I got it in Iron Knob. Well, rude not to really!
Take care MoG.
Love

Mother of God, Empress of the Universe Posted Dec 18, 2002
I'll not even contemplate the kinds of pressies one would get in Iron Knob....
Remember, you're on a mission from MoG. And I'll give you a second one, too. (Don'tcha just looooove the way I delegate?) If you run across Lucinda please give him one of those too, along with a sly pat on the tushie from Magnolia.

Lunch sounds lovely, Ben - I'll email you
Welcome back to the UK and suchlike. Did you come back in time to see the snow?
Oh poop.
a girl called Ben Posted Dec 19, 2002
Missed the snow, but it is good to be home.
Did you see we even got our own TIT smiley?
I prefer the howlin' wolf, of course. But I am a meanspirited so-and-so at times.
