h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

You asked if I was 'happy' elsewhere and I resisted the opportunity to raise the question - what is happiness? - in a thread supposed to serve as a conduit to the h2g2Post - and (happily) I will restrain myself here as well.

But I thought you'd like to know I have spent a couple of interesting hours doing a thorough browse thru all your other names and the conversations off those pages. I feel I am finally getting to know you at least well enough that I might understand the various signatures and read them, like smileys , to garnish some intonation or inflection around your still generally succinct words in any given posting.

While I would like acknowledge and heartily endorse your 'blunderbus' philosophy in your approach to humour, I might then feel the need for balance and chastise your involvement with the Hash Harriers and the disturbing mental picture I now have of grown men littering oriental cities with 'imperial' aloof. But let me confine myself to promising I will, in future, try very hard to use the appropriate gender in pronoun references to your cast of characters. And perhaps I should belatedly offer an apology for past usage of 'he' in my third person referals to Lucinda. (Sounds like a nice chick!)

For a very long time I seriously thought you two were 'roomies' and was really impressed by your 'togetherness' and the seemingly inherent and unflappable trust you guys had for each other's postings.
As LeKZ might say, you aint as crazy as you think.

And now to the point:
From your Alternative House Rules page I followed a link to the 'Thats Mister Moron to you' thread where I was surprised to see much Revisionism is at work. Makes a fella just a little jealous knowing 'some people' can ammend the permanent record to cast themselves in a better light. One thread, on the subject of the Panic Button, has been reduced to a single entry! All the pettybitchin (including mine and thine) has been expurged.
As the guy who came up with the name Max Moron, you might expect me to be a little upset to find all my postings there have been invisibly removed. It's as if I never existed. And that, I'm sure Xanthia will agree, is just fine by me (and some of Thee).
