Obviously, there is something I don't yet understand about the modus-operandi h2g2-here-abouts.
Your Archives/Nominations entry on the AGG/GAG homepage is working well. I appreciate that you need full control over it and no one else should be able to edit it, but it leaves me wondering how you were ble to create an entry on the AGG/GAG page without being AGG/GAG?
I have experimentally pushed the "Add Guide Entry' button on a homepage other than my own and when I finished and 'updated' it, the entry only appeared back at MY homepage.
Just curious.

I don't need full control over it - but I couldn't be xxxxed to move it over to AGG/GAG... Anywho - I just added AGG/GAG to the list of contributing researchers - easy!

Sorry, didn't see your above response until just now when I came to see if you were 'back in the UK'. I had been waiting for an e-mail reply, still bewildered about the Archives.
Now I'm completely confused.
..the Archives was on the AGG/GAG homepage.
How did that happen if you couldn't be xxxxed?
And today, it was still there this morning, but now it's not!
How did that happen?
Should I just cut and paste it there from your page when it's updated?
BTW: There's a whole whack of new nominations that need listing. In the 'more suggestions' thread and a new thread Bossel started called 'scouted for you'.

OK I think I understand now, sorry.
Today, I added a couple of new entries at AGG/GAG to compose #6 and the Archives moved down the list to 'other entries'. I'll have to delete some ruff draft crap.
And I guess I finally understand how it got on the page in the first place. Is it true that if I credit you (or anyone) as a contributiong researcher (in the box at the bottom of an edit page) the Entry will apears on your page? I think that's what you're saying but it's all new to me and would just like confirmation.

Yes. So if I wrote an entry saying "Mark Moxon has a silly beard" and credited Mark, then it would appear on his home space...

The possibilities are staggering!
Has anyone ever used this function for mass mailing, spam or general cyber-vandalism?
How many Users would the box hold?
90,000 potentially.
Cut and paste from 'new users' page...
Yes ..endless possibilities.

I *knew* it. The Editorial Team must search for their names - every time I ever say 'Moxon', one of the Editors appears...

=X has established a new Nominations List page and I see they have been removed from your Glorious Archives page.
I hope you will continue to update your Archives, complete with your colourful commentaries on each entry, which are a little more friendly than the Posts naked list of links to entire issues.
The link 'Archives' on our homepage, and every issue to date, goes to your Glorious page.
