Luxanthidice -

I think you should do an article about Luke Rhinehart, and especially his method of dice rolling one's personality. That's not the reason I'm jotting though - I was touched by your opening on the page explaining the reason for your fake schizophrenia. It sounds like you've developed a fantastic defense mechanism for yourself, and as for the motive, bullying, I know where you've been as does probably a score of other researchers.

The side effects were what got to me though. Being instantly cheerful on demand (whoa that's familiar), the blackest of black humour isn't black enough, the repressed temper, f**k man, yep. Treating people as objects, denying feeling, autism...

I don't really have an ending to this post. I could ask you how you are these days regarding this, and whether the mechanism is still serving its purpose, whether perhaps now it is becoming more of a burden than a blessing, whether you might not bt now want to get rid of it and stabilise, or whether you see it still as an edge over your surroundings... but I won't. Far too intrusive, don't you think? smiley - smiley

I just recognised a lot of myself in your story, that's all.
And thanks again for staying with the Seven Steps Joints article.

Ahh, but I have - though it is more about him as an author than his dice rolling thing. I've also an entry on the philosophy which I've now abandoned due to lack of interest, and no longer wanting to put the work in. And Finally one which was ever-so-slightly influenced by my schoolhood acquantances. No - I'm not at all venemous at them, not me... Here they are:

Reply to rest shortly - I'm window juggling at the moment... smiley - erm

Ok - the rest of that post... smiley - smiley

You know, it doesn't help when people read stuff which isn't quite ready yet - though you weren't to know! smiley - winkeye The thing is, the fake multiple thing {schizophrenia is something else...} wasn't really a defence mechanism - cos it developed considerably after I stopped being bullied, and was mainly while at uni. I mentioned the stuff about bullying as background to something I was going to say, but hadn't written down yet! smiley - smiley

I'm doing great, actually, been enjoying life in the slightly-more-real-than-school world. Being a fake multiple is definately a blessing, no doubt about it. Some of the other things - well there are moments when they get in the way. Like I say, they've kinda mutated and stabilised into slightly more socially acceptable forms. I'll have to clarify this somewhere smiley - smiley

But yeah, no matter what you go through, someone else has been through it too. Backwards and naked, normally... smiley - yikes

No worries with 7 joints {both meanings of that smiley - winkeye} - it was a great entry - just sorry you got messed around as you did... smiley - blue

-I'd said my bit to the Dude, and he just looked at me and smiled. "Yeahp, well, that's just your, well, opinion, I guess." Pretty soon after that he'd finished his drink and was heading back to the alley for some more bowling. I watched him wak away and I relaxed. 'Cause that is just how The Dude, or however you may call him, is, y'all. I think we can all find some peace in the thought that, no matter what happens to no matter what, The Dude will always be what he is. The Dude, Dudester, El Duderino if you're not into that abbreviation s**t... Sometimes I think he uses too many cuss words, but hey, if that's the only thing I can pin him down on, no use in tryin', what say you? -

A freestyle bit of The Big Lebowski for you there. It's an illustration of my appreciation of how cool you seem to remian under what I thought was this big deal and all. You see I thought of the whole thing as something extremely exhausting and self-estranging, wearing you out, what not. I guess it isn't, I guess you're okay with it, and I guess (I know) that's for the better smiley - smiley
