So, this is, apparently, a true story. But it's a 'friend of a friend' type thing.
Anyhoooo here goes.
This pair have just got a new flat. They decided that they needed a new tv, and to that end drove in their VW camper van, and their big dog, to town to get one. They were in the Television Shop when all of a sudden, the 7 year old dog dropped down dead.
The shop people gave them an empty box to put the dog in, which they took out of the shop and put in the back of their van. They then went back into the shop to pick up their tv.
I think you can see where this is going.
When they got back to the van with their TV, the box with the dog in it was gone.
I'm still having trouble trying to imagine the look on the faces of the thieves when they opened the box!!

I find it very sad too. They won't be able to give the dog a proper burial. It was undignified enough having to transport it in a carton as it was.

Grimly amusing.
Or amusingly grim.
Hi Sho! Thanks for the welcome back! Rarely have I been so effusively greeted anywhere that I've been more than once.
See? That's what I missed about this place. I shall be popping back in and out between work, so I'm kinda sorta around-ish.
